They're cowards because they won't face their own racism or sexism or they're cowards because they don't want the competition for moral authority or a challenge to their power.

Yes, Janeane, it would be racist to hate Obama only for his skin color.

Now, it wouldn't be racist to worry about Obama's skin color if he hadn't previously shown his disdain for whites.

That's when his racial makeup shouldn't be a shield against all criticism. That would be racist against all those white people protesting.
