“This is exactly one of the reasons gov run health care is a bad idea. Playing ball with friends, going for walks, getting involved with many activities cost nothing. I bet she has money to buy the boy expensive game systems and plenty of snacks and such. I’m not a lightweight myself but this kind of whining makes me embarrassed for this lady.”

Last night CBS did a cry piece on a woman who was struggling with her bills, about to lose her home. She had fake fingernails, died hair, trendy clothes and complained $484.00 in food stamps wasn’t enough to feed 5 of them. Nonsense! I manage to get by on $100 a month for food, but then I don’t get the food stamp handout.
These people simply don’t know how to manage their money.

And the woman in this article gets $18.00 an hour? She doesn’t know how to budget either.

You could not be more right. They have all the money in the world for fancy hair, getting their nails done, and flashy clothes. I make a better than average salary but I shop at Wal-Mart and Target and I am frugal on my clothing. I almost never go to the doctor though my kids and my wife do. We live in an entitlement society and it is making people weak and incapable of taking care of themselves. We have a couple of friends who are younger, can not pay their bills, are as picky as hell and can’t cook for themselves. We’ve tried to help them but I have zero tolerance for silliness and will not enable them.

There is a time when everyone has to grow up and realize the difference between necessity and convenience.
