It's never too early, apparently, to start handicapping the field for the 2012 presidential race.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey found what amounts to a dead heat among Republican contenders, with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee at 22 percent, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin at 21 percent and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney also at 21 percent.

Actually, Hunter may run again. But he we certainly be scorned by many of the same idiots who made Rudy McRomney the frontrunners last time. However, there is a chance many others will actually give a genuine Reaganite a look this time.

Eric Cantor?

No. Used to live in his dist. and thought highly of him. He's good to have as a rep. but he's turned into too much of an appeasing politician.

Marsha Blackburn?

No. Very pretty, very smart, but lacks charisma and the will to resist political expediancy at times.

Palin?

Yes. She's the most perfect candidate since Reagan and Jefferson.

Nope. Couldn’t have Harry Reid’s job either. Is your point that public office = intellectual rigor?

Once Sarah Palin gets the nomination we will all come together into a resolute body and see that she goes on to win the Presidency.

Now why would CNN, MSNBC, and someone named “Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor” of the Boston Glob, want to be shilling for Romney as the next Republican nominee?

I wonder. NOT.

...there is a chance many others will actually give a genuine Reaganite a look this time.

They will, and that person will be Sarah Palin, a woman that Reagan's own son, Michael, more than favorably compares to his father.

Apparently she left out her views on global warming and amnesty from the convention speech which Michael Reagan was reviewing when he was so smitten.

Governor Palin's candidacy for the vice presidency was what galvanized grass roots Republicans in a way that John McCain never did. But there was something about her that turned even some conservative intellectuals against her and provoked visceral anger and hatred from liberal intellectuals.

Conservative intellectuals don't like her because she is proof one does not need degrees from Ivy League schools to be smart.

First of all when I think of Bachmann I think of a Biden like Gaffe machine without media cover, you want a gaff factory to be on the ticket good for you.

Politically Bachmann is great but I would not put her on the ticket..
