Figured that. It’s only a matter of time. BUY GUNS BUY AMMO! A cop may not be able to respond, at least be able to defend yourself and your family.

To start with the guy is a convicted felon, from what I've read. This means he didn't buy the firearm he was using, not by legals means at any rate. He most likely got it on the Black Market, had it before he was convicted(in which case he was supposed to get rid of his guns after his release from prison), stole it from someone or another person obtained it for him.
In any case the media will not point any of that out and will make a big deal about him having "200 rounds of ammo"(which they have already mentioned)and push for more gun laws, totally ignoring the fact he is a muslim and a convicted felon.

He was not a prison convert. He was a student at Memphis State when he converted.
