> if Christie wins the primary there’s no contest between him and Corzine.

I understand what you're saying, but .... where has that gotten us in the past?

Lousy candidates. Lying candidates. Candidates who makeover their images during the campaign, and then stick us in the back if they get elected.

It's got to stop.

Can you imagine what the reaction would be if 150,000 or 200,000 registered NJ Republicans sent letters to the county and state GOP saying: "If you nominate Christie as the candidate, I'm staying home on Election Day" -- and copied those letters to every local paper, TV, and radio station. Can you just imagine?

If all those thousands of people did that, during the same week, there would be massive panic in the GOP headquarters. They'd finally realize that, if they're going to run crappy candidates, then they're on their own ... and everyone will suffer because of them ... and we conservatives will make it publicly known who is REALLY responsible.

Lonergan is essentially the Ron Paul of New Jersey politics. Great ideas with crackpot delivery, but not a chance in hell at statewide success.

Writing letters is nice, but the party doesn't "select" the candidate. In the end, the registered Republican primary voters actually decide the candidate.

Apparently, the majority of Republican voters in the state prefer limp-wristed milquetoast almost-Democratic candidates.

Schundler was about a good a candidate as this state will get and he got drilled-twice-because the RINOs stayed home. I will give $ and time to Lonegan in the primary and then to Christie when he wins the primary.

This is New Jersey, get real! All I'm saying is, I'll NEVER pull the lever for Corzine. Never.
