Pahlavi, son of the late shah of Iran, acknowledged that sentiment in Washington for launching a dialogue with Iran's hard-line rulers is growing. But the administration should also "open a line of dialogue with the democratic opposition," he said.
Pahlavi lives in Maryland and remains an active presence among Iranian exiles in the United States and Europe who oppose the Shiite cleric-led government in Tehran, which took power in 1979 after a revolution that deposed his late father. He spoke of the continuing "quest for democracy" in Iran, adding, "We seek a secular alternative."
The 48-year-old Pahlavi brushed aside a question about whether he has any interest in returning to Iran someday as a leader. "That's not the issue here," he replied. If democratic change arrives at some point, he said, "Yours truly, as an Iranian citizen, will be at the service of his country."
But the administration should also “open a line of dialogue with the democratic opposition,” he said.

I was talking to someone the other day who spoke about the Shah trying to instill foreign values on Iranians, probably the biggest propaganda infiltrated by media. Iran was a monarchy for over 3,000 years it’s never been a religious run country.
Well well well little Reza is back in play.

It should be hammered into these ignorant people, that the Mullahs are instilling foreign (Arab) values and modes on Iran.
Beside that, after 30 years islamic “republic”, Iranians still are hungry for anything Western (even the religious ones).
Do you know a current opposition figure in exile that is more reliable and trustworthy than Reza Pahlavi? If so... please name him or her.
The propaganda against the Shah’s regime is fabricated lies by the Carter Administration and other governments who wanted him gone. 50 years to subpoena the CIA -2029 until we find Carters dirty hands involved.

I have not seen any photos of Reza except for his wedding photos and he’s aged, well, I’ve aged , too, but it’s still a shock
