I just caught the tail end of that segment, if you watched can you verify if I understood correctly?
1. Guest ATF guy admitted that the full-auto firearms came from somewhere else, not the USA.
2. Semi-auto varieties are common in the US and could be smuggled into Mexico.
3. After purchasing these semi-autos in the US and smuggling them into Mexico they could be converted into full-auto rifles.
Conclusion: The US is at fault and should ban semi-auto rifles to stop violence carried out by drug gangs with full-auto rifles in Mexico which can do nothing to help themselves, because they are smart and already made guns illegal there.
Did I get it all?
Pretty much, but that "could be converted" was more like "are easily converted". But as we know, that would be illegal, and secondly if it were true, the weapons in question would be banned by the 1986 machine gun ban, since any weapon that can be "readily converted" to fire more than one round per trigger pull, is legally a machine gun.
In fact that could be the "hook" that Holder and Obami use to ban assault weapons, just declare the to be readily convertible to full auto, since "readily" isn't defined in the law, and walla, instant ban, without bothering a hair on the heads of any Congress Critters.
Other hairs might be disturbed, however, in the fashion that "The Ghost" disturbed the hair of the Redcoats after his son was taken away and his house and other property burned to the ground, after #2 son was shot by the Green Coated Dragoon officer.
