Today Serbia is marking the 10th anniversary since beginning of the NATO air strikes. All schools in the country shall begin their classes with a minute of silence for the people who lost their lives. The Parliament shall not work, meetings shall be held across the whole of Serbia, while officials shall lay wreaths on the monuments to the dead.
Addressing the UN Security Council at the session dedicated to Kosovo, Serbia President Boris Tadic said that ten years ago the Serbs had been punished with bombs and Kosovo Albanians five years ago in spite of expelling Serbs and setting their homes and churches on fire, with a state recognized by over 50 countries. Serbia Deputy Prime Minister and also Home Minister Ivica Dacic said that the process of the unilateral proclamation of Kosovo secession and its recognition by some countries represent continuation of bombing, pressure and aggression that came as a result of false accusations for genocide, ethnic cleansing and staged massacre at Racak.
RIP all those that were killed in vain.
I will never forget, but also I am not God to forgive.
I believe the photo is of the civilian bus/tram bombed by a US plane....an act quickly hushed off the front page.
Yes, it was bombed civilian train that was passing across a railway bridge ... it was hit twice, 14 civilans died and more wounded ...
“collateral demage”
Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the NATO bombing campaign of the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The campaign, in response to the conflict in Serbias southern province of Kosovo, lasted 78 days and nights between March 24 and June 11, 1999. It was the first international bombing of a European country since World War II.
Government and military buildings, including the Yugoslavian Army Headquarters (pictured below), bridges (Novi Sad lost all of its bridges) and radio and telecommunication equipment across Serbia and Kosovo were destroyed. During the bombing many civilian buildings and areas were hit including apartment blocks, a passenger train, an Albanian refugee convoy, a maternity hospital, a car factory and most famously the Chinese Embassy, which caused international uproar. A bomb even hit Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. In one of the most deadly incidents, 15 civilians were killed and dozens injured when cluster bombs hit the southern city of Nis during the day, including the bus station and central market.
... from the Balkan File
the same building (business center with radio and tv stations) that was hit with 12 tomahawks:

Yet, not one protest against the Clinton Administration for conducting an illegal war....
I remember it being hit twice....it was hit again after rescue workers and a priest arrived there. Wonder where that video went? I’ll never forget either
It was more-less “standard procedure” ... it happened also in Belgrade on several bombing spots - army HQ, military hospital etc ... they hit once with several missiles, then wait - in the meantime ambulances and firemen gets there, and hit again after 10-20 minutes multiplying the casualties ...
That's because, as Janeane Garofalo said, "It wasn't cool to protest Clinton's actions".
The Leftist anti-war machine went silent while Clinton was in office, because they had a leftist in the White House and they had an exhilarating new label to justify military aggression --"humanitarian bombing". They were playing "God" and they liked it!

‘humanitarian bombing’——I’m going to use that term in the future !!!!!!!!!
with the exception of Justin Raimondo
I don't really consider Justin to be a news reporter, more of a political analyst whose views are libertarian/paleo.
And over the years -- especially as later facts emerged and post-9/11 -- there have been some less stilted ant-Serb rhetoric.
But the regular news media keeps publishing the original tripe, even when their supposed "facts" have been disproven by objective fact.
For example many news agencies STILL use that "250,000 Bosnian Muslims killed during the war" number when everyone, including the ICTY has already revised those numbers to a little over 100,000 killed on ALL sides, including soldiers on both sides. But the "250K Bosnian Muslims murdered" number sounds so much more dramatic to readers, even though it is a lie, so they just keep repeating it like a mantra.
