So starts the deconstructing of Obama. He can’t do what he has promised to anyone. he can’t even be a good Socialist or a good Peacenik. He’s got Jimmy Carter all over him and it will not be long before he comes out and says that America can’t be governed. He’s a one term President—if he makes it through his four years without being impeached or forced to resign. Maybe, just maybe, he will learn the job, or have some transformation in personality. Maybe he can become a leader but it will take divine intervention I think. Maybe the ghost of Lincoln will give him a bit of a talking too some night in the White House. We can but hope.

This bozo has lowered the bar for being a US president, now even a broom handle can serve as POTUS.

This isn’t good.

People with way more training are going to see this for what it is. I’d say he’s on the verge of breakdown.

Nothing in his life prepared him for what’s facing him, and he doesn’t know who to trust.

I’d say he’s pretty close.

I think it’ll be historic. It’ll be the first interview where the stress started to really seep through toward breakdown.

I'd heartily agree with him. Americans don't need to be governed. They need to be left alone. They need the government to take about five years off.

A lot of laughter but this part was truly laughable:

I think we have to understand the severity of the crisis that we’re in right now. The fact is that, because of bad bets made on Wall Street, there have been enormous losses.

I mean there were a whole bunch of folks who, on paper, if you looked at quarterly reports, were wildly successful, selling derivatives (CHUCKLE) that turned out to be—

STEVE KROFT:

Worthless.

BARACK OBAMA:

completely worthless.

STEVE KROFT:

And insuring them.

BARACK OBAMA:

And insuring them. Now— you know, gosh, I don’t think it’s me being anti-Wall Street just to point out that the best and the brightest— didn’t do too well on that front, and that— you know, maybe the incentive structures that have been set up— have not produced the kinds of long term growth that— that I think everybody’s looking for.

“selling derivatives that turned out to be ...worthless.”

If there is anyone that is the poster boy for creating toxic loans, it is Barack Obama the ‘community organizer’. He along with ACORN armed with the Community Reinvestment Act regulations provided the pressure on banks to make loans that without such regulation would never have been made. Those toxic loans were packaged knowingly by Freddie and Fannie and sold as derivatives that didn’t ‘by chance’ or by some other accident -’turn out to be worthless’ - they were worthless as soon as the packages/derivatives/insurance/CDS’s were created that included them.

Sure there were other community organizers that did the same thing around the country but Obama’s rep. was made in part by his advocacy of these policies and policies like them that created and continued these problems going back to his time in the IL. Senate. He epitomizes the ‘community organizer’ that help bring into being ‘toxic loans’ and now he himself is having to deal with them. This is almost as ironic as Nixon taping the oval office for ‘history’s sake’.

So these derivatives weren’t a part of some ‘risk/reward’ aspect of the free market - they were the result of gov’t intervention into the market and the toxic loans were the “Old Maid” that everyone was trying to get rid of, but in this case it wasn’t just one card in the deck, it was the whole deck or several decks of “Old Maids” - too many to dispense with. In fact they are still trying to pawn them off. And they want private investors to take on these toxic loans in ‘partnership with gov’t and yet because of the ‘tax anyone at 90%’ that has to do with the bailout, they are scaring away the exact people that could possibly save them!

No wonder he’s in the state of glee.

[Inappropriate laughter can be a sign of addiction.]

Your whole comment is entirely plausible and insightful.

We know he is addicted to tobacco. I would think at his age and in his socio-demographic group a cigarette habit would be uncommon unless he has additional substance dependencies.

What has bothered me is that on the issues of private health insurance for combat personnel, the plight of middle-class investors, inciting class resentment, the Special Olympics joke, Obama seems to lack empathy. He doesn't even mimic compassion.

The 60-Minutes transcript is full of laughter and chuckles:

>>Looking good for Biden, actually.<<

Be careful, VERY careful, what you wish for. Biden is NOT an improvement. He is MORE liberal than 0bambi; and MORE incompetent.

There is good reason why only 16 Senators have been elected President; most were unspectacular; some did okay and the rest were disasters. Only James Madison can be considered great. The unspectactular ones - JQ Adams, Van Buren, WH Harrison, Tyler, Pierce and B Harrison. The disasters - Buchanan, A Johnson, Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon and 0bambi. Jackson, Harding and Truman did okay.

Zer0 is appropriate for this era. He is the result of the convoluted left.

There is nothing in his history which is mildly mainstream.

Total wacko. A great example of the left-wing 60’s social
experiment.

STEVE KROFT:

I mean you're a constitutional law professor.

BARACK OBAMA:

Yeah.

LOL!!! Sorry, I meant BARF!!!
