Given CIA’s recent inability to get anything right (going back the Bay of Pigs and even the fall of the Soviet empire), I wouldn’t put too much stock in whatever alleged report some analyst may or may not have written.

CIA was politicized by the Clintoon. Bush II never undid it. How convenient for the CIA to predict Israel’s demise right now. The Marxist Onada would like to see Israel just go away.
Oh, and what exactly is it that will make Israel go away. Israel will never agree to some shared power arrangement with Palestinians. That’s a non-starter—as it should be.
Militarily the Israeli’s will not get beaten without taking the entire Mid East with it. Whici is why Syria and Iran are trying desperately to obtain their own bomb. Israel cannot allow that to happen.

Israel has a real big problem, in this area, and they know it. They’ve been “hanging on”, at first thinking that a two-state solution would solve the problem. But, that doesn’t seem to be their solution. A “one-state solution” is an *equal disaster* as much as a two-state solution is.
With a “one-state solution” you’ve got the demographic time bomb of the Muslims and their huge families and then it’s only a matter of time before they “out-vote” all the Jews and take over the country without a shot being fired, by voting themselves into office (in such a “one-state” solution).
And, of course, the two-state solution doesn’t look much better. Put an armed terrorist group right in the middle of your country and give them their own state is not quite the “solution” I would think would contribute to Israel’s survival.
Either way, they don’t know of a “way out” of this mess, and they are simply “hanging on” right now, not knowing what to do...
