My husband and I both sent scathing emails to Specter and now (as I write this) we are being audited by the IRS. Coincidence? I think not.
Well, my late father wrote a polite but critical letter to BC and was audited for the next 3 years. He had never been audited prior to that.
Can I prove the connection? Of course not. But, in light of the fact that it was an open secret the Clinton administration was targeting political opponents with IRS actions, I'd bet more than a few bucks on it.
I was poo pooed here when I suggested that people should buy calling cards to use when calling Democrat reps to criticize them. Frankly, I consider my advice to be no more than common sense and prudence. And cheap insurance.
