Just how little is the sanctity of marriage and fidelity revered by the mainstream media?

Consider the following astounding statement made today by "CNN Saturday Morning News" host T. J. Holmes:

Unfortunately, you know, people have to stop cheating in this recession. But given the recession, people are being forced to improvise a little bit more as they're looking for a little variety out there in their lives

attacking society by destroying marriages, destroying individuals' lives. straight out of the leftist takeover handbook.

"entertainment" tv is full of it of course. but it's nice & easy to spot when they dress it up as "news"

Sounds to me like it was tongue-in-cheek.

Sure it wasn’t just a joke? Sounds like it to me.

Times are tough enough without losing your sense of humor!

I'm sure. Speaking of adultery as "variety" isn't joking, it's social warfare.

accepting stuff like this as "a joke" is why we're in so much trouble right now. the frog is boiling in the pot, but it just doesn't think it's time to jump out yet

Adultery is a joke? Destroying marriages, lives, and children is a joke? There are many others ways to be humorous or to find humor and such statements are irresponsible. But, then again, Liberals wallow in the idea of irresponsibility and recklessness.

Sure it wasn’t just a joke? Sounds like it to me.

My wife was curious and tuned into CNN after Rush Limbaugh's address to CPAC. She's Colombiana and has come to love to listen to Rush Limbaugh's show. She wanted to hear what the "enemy" was broadcasting while Rush was speaking. CNN was the only other station outside of CSPAN that had anything about Rush.

We listened as within second of the end of Rush's speech CNN was broadcasting emails where people stated the GOP was desperate if Rush could express their ideals and so on. It was a disgusting hate fest read with gusto by the CNN propaganda officers. I was astounded they could be so hateful and realized that had been preparing well in advance in order to mount such a verbal onslaught within seconds of the speech.

Having that performance in mind, I just don't put much beyond the hate of anything American at CNN. I'm inclined to believe this was no joke. I just don't share a sense of humor with my enemies while they're laughing about the destruction of our nation.

Any other station? Sure...joke. NOT CNN...

Anyway, had to share that, it's still sticking in my mind this morning.

You’re blessed to have such a mate. CNN has pre-prepared responses to conservative views? - never be surprised by that. I believe they depend on foreign financing more than domestic at this point of their existence. If not for Lou Dobbs I’d never hit their channel.

It gets worse. With the failing economy, most women are now going to have to get married for true love. *rim shot*

I happened to see him say it and it was definitely a joke done tongue in cheek. He was during a lead in to a piece that was about how infidelity had fallen off since the recession had begun. A sort of “even the cheaters are having a hard time of it” story.

What was it Clint E. recently said about a sense of humor? Yes I know he was referring to racial humor, but it could also be attributed to something like this. As I remember it, we sure got a lot of laugh mileage out of Elliot Spitzer’s predicament. I think we need to occasionally lighten up a little and take things in the spirit in which they are meant. And BTW, I am NOT condoning cheating, I’ve been married 30 years.

Here the transcript.

A friend of mine once complained about the wife-swapping club in our little town.He said the club was so small that he kept getting stuck with his own all the time.

In the past 6 years, I have had more married women come on to me than I have in the rest of my entire life. Some have gone so far as to try to get me drunk when I don’t drink alcohol. Just some anecdotal information for thought.
