I don’t see how the author derives that 1% number fro 1 in 830,000......

I think its tied in with the 500 million jobs we loose each month if we don’t pass porkulus. Pelosi’s estimates.

The "tragic event" is death from peanut allergies. So death in children from peanut allergy is 1/830,000 of 1% of the population. Pretty close to statistically zero...
