I'm afraid that by the time these goons get done spending, we'll see average tax rates closer to 50%. Of course that will sink the economy. Which is what they want.

Conservatives can take back their party.

By refusing to donate AT ALL on the National Level. Hit them in the pocketbooks..raise up indivdual conservatives only.

DRAIN their pockets of money.

I really hope Rush, Sean, and Mark talk about this--and shove it in Specter, Snowe, and Collins' collective sell-out faces:

Yea, talk talk talk. That's the problem. How about ACTION.

Agree....3-4 highballs, an X-pill and then step into the unclothed crowd lying on the floor (a power orgy)....

This bears repeating:

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

Marcus Tullius Cicero quote

I see your point, but I understand why Rush doesn’t want to do that either. He might though when Specter’s number is called in 2010...LOL

Congress passed a stimulus bill which includes $43 billion, for unemployment benefits; $12 billion, for mass transit; and $325 million, for STD prevention. The 10th Amendment, of the U.S. Constitution, states that all powers that aren’t reserved for the federal government, in the Constitution, are reserved for the states. I read every word of the Constitution, and I didn’t see the words “unemployment,” “transit,” or “disease.” Therefore, the stimulus bill is unconstitutional.

I hope that, in 2010, all of the congressmen, who voted for the expensive, unconstitutional bill, will lose. Our country needs more congressmen who obey the Constitution.

In 2010, conservative candidates, for the U.S. Senate and House, should campaign together, similarly to the Contract with America. They should promise that, if Republicans regain control of both houses of Congress, they’ll pass a set of about five bills, including cutting tax rates to the 1988 rates, obeying the 10th Amendment (which includes repealing all federal laws that mention abortion and spending that isn’t mentioned in the Constitution), and building a brick wall along the Mexican border. This week, many people will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth. That would be the perfect time to recruit more conservative candidates, into the republican party.

“I think what he is thinking about is the cyclical swings in power. He is correct, the present will not remain the same.”

As far as the Presidency goes, he is wrong. A Repub will not be POTUS for the next 40 years. The reason is manifold:
RATS are streaming out of Blue states into red states and are bringing their politics with them. Examples are many and include florida, and vermont.
The school system is busy indoctrinating our kids with left wing ideas starting in grade school and have been doing so for 30 years. The result is an electorate that is now 50-50 liberal conservative.
Rest assured that MILLIONS of illegals will be given amnesty and the right to vote. 70-80% of these new voters will support RATS. These people will multiply and produce more liberals.
The “news” media continue the relentless support of RATS and the slandering of traditional american values. The entertainment media will do the same. Until the rules for the electoral college are changed, the President will be a RAT for as far as te eye can see.

I just heard Rush out in the car and I loved it!!!! We need to start fighting back hard!

I have always asked libs how is that they can whine and complain about government for eight years straight but then the second they get into power they all want to expand government? and they never have an answer.

It is time to change our stradegy and to teach them a lesson about the power of government.

At this point I’d be happy if some Pubbie would grow a set and tell the a$$hat SIGIR chief and his paid propagandists to go to he!! then demand the same scrutiny of the bailout spending as the Dems have of a reconstruction effort in a FREAKING COMBAT ZONE.

“If Republicans would use big gov the way the Dems do.”

There is NO evidence that they will ever do that. Furthermore his rant will be used to justify the RATS doing it to us since whe is saying we will do it to them.

President Barack Obama adds Penny Pritzker, Caterpillar’s Jim Owens to economic team
February 7, 2009

President Barack Obama is bringing in a team of outside advisers to help steer the economy out of a tailspin, including Obama campaign finance chairwoman Penny Pritzker and Caterpillar Inc. Chief Executive Jim Owens.

Obama had already tapped Paul Volcker, a former Federal Reserve chairman, as the leader of the Economic Recovery Advisory Board.

Members will include former Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman William Donaldson, TIAA-CREF CEO Roger Ferguson, Harvard University professor Martin Feldstein and General Electric Co. CEO Jeffrey Immelt. Anna Burger of the Service Employees International Union and Richard Trumka of the AFL-CIO also were named to the 15-member board designed to offer Obama advice as he seeks ways to weather the crisis and rebuild the economy.

“DRAIN their pockets of money.”

I have to admit to being very suspicious of folks that say that on this forum(even though I have said the same thing in anger years ago). We did starve them of money last year...it backfired.

We should all agree to give the House Republicans some money right NOW..for standing up.

Yeah, me too Clint....that's another nail into it all. Then we have to add more taxes coming...look at CA and the Dems in the NC Legislature are grinnin' ready to pounce on our few remaining quarters for discretionary spending.

A bureaucrat is the most despicable of men, though he is needed as vultures are needed, but one hardly admires vultures whom bureaucrats so strangely resemble. I have yet to meet a bureaucrat who was not petty, dull, almost witless, crafty or stupid, an oppressor or a thief, a holder of little authority in which he delights, as a boy delights in possessing a vicious dog. Who can trust such creatures?Marcus Tullius Cicero

Worry not, God loves you.

The RATS need no justification. These things need to be said!

More than that, We can not give up just because it appears we’ll be outnumbered or unliked...something CAN be done.

"No, we are not “just in a cycle.”"

I believe we are.

Just watch what happens when prices go through the roof with inflation before 2010. They are simply gonna print more money, our GNP will tank and people are going to get angry and nasty.

It will all be blamed on the first 30 days of Obama in office. That is what Rush is talking about.
