When someone with nothing to lose finally cracks and does something really, really stupid and the reaction from the government is way over-the-top is generally the way these things play out.

Then you get to choose between being an insurgent, a loyalist, or a gutless squish who backs the guy who's winning. History is a wonderful teacher.

In the current vernacular, an insurgent is a terrorist.

Remember, the press won’t use the term terrorist.
