Whay say you? The Brit did not fall for Bernie's dewy, innocent doe-eyed look....... ....and that crinkly, winsome smile?
LOL.
Bernie made billions by the criminal use of gravitas. He should patent his grandfatherly "trust me" demeanor.....and sell it to con artists.

(BIG GRIN!) He probably would have had me fooled, ay. I’m a sucker for falling for the grandfatherly con-artists — particularly the ones with dewy, innocent doe-eyed looks, and that crinkly, winsome smile!

LOL it’s sad but true. That’s why they call them “Con Artists” — “con” is short for “confidence” and they operate by building confidence in their marks.
Hopefully soon, “con” will be short for “convict” in Madoff’s case, and then he can patent and sell his grandfatherly “trust me” demeanor to other convicts in some maximum-security stockade somewhere: I don’t think he will get soft-time in a Club Fed, not with the kinds of enemies he is likely to have made. With any luck he will spend the rest of his days cowering behind high, thick walls hoping that the Russian Mafia doesn’t catch up with him...
...as is only fair.
