Video footage posted on a website shows police officers running way from chanting demonstrators who took part in a violent protest in London against Israel's invasion of the Gaza Strip.
The ten-minute amateur film shows 30 officers being chased by a crowd of up to 3,000 people who broke away from an official protest march last month.
The video, posted on YouTube, shows protesters chanting 'Allahu Akbar' (God is Greatest) and 'Fatwa', a death threat under Islamic law.

Oh my...the British bulldog is revealed to be a poodle.
I don’t know if the police share any blame for this, but police can’t do much about riots and demonstrations unless they have political support and proper orders.
The black antisemitic riots in Brooklyn when Dinkins was mayor were allowed to continue for several days unchallenged by the police, and as a result people were killed. The police could do nothing, because the major ordered them to stay out of the way of the rioters.
Eventually, that led to Dinkins being thrown out and replaced by Giuliani, as the voters finally tired of this and other lawlessness. But I’m not sure whether the Brits are ready to dismiss Labour. The problem is that the Conservatives haven’t offered much of an alternative. They have tended to revert to being the Me Too party.

30 running from 3000 sounds like 30 smart cops to me.
As is my opinion with most riots, Rule 308 should have been applied to the rioters.
Not much the cops could do without adequate numbers of them plus the proper equipment. Does Britain not have any water cannons, mounted police, rubber bullets, etc.?
Blame Gordon Brown and company for this. Unfortunately, we now have our own Gordon Brown in the White House.
Not a pretty sight, but probably smart. Perhaps this episode will finally open the stupid elite’s eyes to what they have been encouraging.
British police have water cannons and mounted units. I’m not sure about rubber bullets though. They are extremely controversial in Britain because they were used in Northern Ireland during the troubles, and ended up killing people. I don’t even think they are authorised for use in mainland Britain...
