Perhaps- but did Powell mention how many are NOT re-upping? I know many of my son’s buddies who were waiting to see how the election went- they are due to re-up in Feb. Not ONE of them is staying. These are guys who have been through combat in Iraq and Afghanistan- and would have stayed if McC were elected.

Bringing in new recruits is terrific- keeping seasoned soldiers is crucial.

It will be interesting to see the demographics of all of these new recruits. Especially since Bush and Congress repealed the Posse Comitatus Act.

My son just got out of the navy. His buddies are out or getting out. No way son would re-up to serve under zero!
