Been calling Brighthouse for an hour- they’re my ISP too and I’m only getting partial service in Orlando. Cannot send email but am receiving it.

Crazy.

Interesting ... I can reach certain websites, but not the majority. Email is down too. I have Brighthouse. Email error message says DNS servers (incoming and outgoing) are down.

Example ... can reach Free Republic, but not my bank, google, and many others.

Thanks to all - if you click on the ‘net health link - it does show problems in SF with a company called Level3 ... its prolly nothing but I thought by posting someone with google as their home page - like my kids use - might save some time resetting their systems, unplugging their cable modems, etc. I know, I know - what a guy! I am not worthy ... ;-)

I can’t do either one. I also have Brighthouse, and am in Brevard County.

Well- since I posted that- I’ve lost all email- no in or out. I can access Yahoo- but nothing in their search engine is working for me- i.e. type in Brighthouse and the dropdown box for the search doesn’t pop- and when I click on the search it eventually goes to page not found error.

I’ve got work to do this afternoon online- can’t access the sites or apps I need either.

However, I can still freep and play solitaire ;)

As long as you can get FR who cares? BTW you can’t get your bank on line ‘cause they’re all closed for Robert E Lee’s birthday apparently. ;-)

LOL! One must always have one’s priorities straight!

Just noticed your tag line — please convey my thanks to your son or daughter for their service. I retired from the Army in ‘95. I’d do it all over again if I could.

I can’t get to my local bank, but I can get to my bank in another state. I can also get to my credit union. It’s befuddling!

Just relax - it’ll get fixed - nothing you can do on your end. Come to think of it its a great excuse to FReep - “Sorry dear, nothing else will come up!” ;-)

So here’s the REALLY weird part- I have another email account that I use for people I don’t know/trust/commercial etc...that always gets sent directly to my RoadRunner/brighthouse account. Mail from THAT account is coming IN to my Email- but NOT getting my roadrunner email. This makes NO sense to me. The mail from my other account has to go THROUGH roadrunner to get here, doesn’t it?

Sigh.

Thanks for the thanks- and the same to you, soldier:) ..will pass on to my son..

Put http://209.157.64.200 in your contacts for FR. If it is a DNS error you’ll probably still get through. ;-)

Well, that all depends. Is it an ankle sock or a crew? And what shade of pink are we talking?

I’ve had trouble with Google for several days. Try Dogpile; it’s been working.

Another tool in your quiver is to see what the state of the Internet is in...ie, how all the main hubs are doing. Give this a try; http://www.internettrafficreport.com/
