Fox just said commuted not full pardon. I don’t know the difference, any clues?
Commuted means out of jail. Pardon erases the conviction.
Commuuted means reduced their sentence (probably to time served) but did not wipe the crime from their record.
Pardon clears their name.
CBS News said Bush commuted their sentences but didn’t pardon them. I guess the conviction stands but they get out of prison.
Yeah, they’re still convicted felons, but they’re getting out of jail.
It means they’re out of jail but that they still have criminal records. Cannot work in law enforcement, cannot be reinstated to the jobs that were taken from them, cannot get a CFL, etc.
I’m surprised he didn’t wait until tomorrow morning.
