Fair and balanced? Pelosi and Joe should get together. That sounds like a defense of the Fairness Doctrine! As to your other point, are you saying that the U.S. has an obligation to protect Israel's "military secrets?" I miss the day when conservatives were actually skeptical of big government. Perhaps those days will return when Obama starts cracking down.

Acckk!!! No, I would never defend the “Fairness Doctrine” - I meant “objective” - that’s probably better than “fair and balanced.” :)
And no, I don’t believe the U.S. military has an obligation to defend Israel’s secrets. The press doesn’t have the obligation - or the right - to disclose them either. As to U.S. military secrets - well, is there a limit as to what the press may access? What happens when the rights of one group (the military) intersect the rights of another (press)? Here’s where an OBJECTIVE press would be a good thing.
