WASHINGTON (Dec. 24) - President-elect Barack Obama has said all along that neither he nor his team was involved in any eye-popping dealmaking over filling his vacated Senate seat. Obama's hand-picked investigator agreed.
"Everybody behaved appropriately," declared Greg Craig, Obama's incoming White House counsel and the person asked to conduct the internal inquiry into contacts between the transition team and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Sure, just like Bill Clinton behaved appropriately. It seems Obama has imported much of the criminal Clinton gang to his administration, including the biggest criminal, Hillary Clinton. This does not bode well for the USA.
It looks like we will have a UK style government, with Obama as the King, but the Clintons actually running things. Plugs will be the Court Jester, of course...

When Obama was recently asked a difficult, detailed question, he interrupted, saying: "Dave, let me just cut you off there because I don't want you to waste your question. What you should be asking me is ..." and he was allowed to dodge.
Now we're closing out the whole Blagojevich scandal -- it's a distraction, you see. How is this helping his children? Shouldn't we be spending time on something else?
The important thing is: He's untainted.

Obamas follow classic teaching in how to dodge a question you don’t want to answer. Rather than answer it, they say, “If you were to ask me “x,” I’d answer such and such.” Obama’s even gutsier. “You should be asking me y.” The media know the ploy, surely. They’ve sold their souls to forget about Obama as an investigative topic, but rather to keep Obama a media darling.
Maybe the press will turn on him. Scandals sell.
Greg Craig is: A political hack; A Democrat insider; A lawyer. In sum, neither he nor anyone else involved in this exremental business is believable.
They really should lay off the Obamessiah.
After all, HE has worlds to save, welfare checks to get out, Fed Notes to print by the boxcar load, military budgets to cut, babies to kill...

Any reporter or editor who describes the Craig-Obama report and does not reference the Dean-Nixon report is either historically illiterate, or politically bigoted, or both. IMHO. See below.

But this hurts Obama because it further cements in people's minds that Chicago politics is a cesspool badly in need of draining and Obama cut his political eyeteeth in that cesspool with help from more than a few of Chicago's most corrupt players. Yet, miraculously Obama remained untainted. Not going to fly over the long term.
This hurts Democrats because it's possible that NONE of the people Obama wanted to replace him in the Senate will be able to - Blago ruined it for them. And since impeachment looks like a long shot, at this point, it's possible a special election might be held and the GOP could pick up that seat. Wouldn't that be ironic?
IMO, it's the Rezko tentacles that might ensnare Obama or at least haunt him like Whitewater haunted the Clintons.
I saw that press conference too. It was amazing. Can you imagine what the media reaction would have been had Bush done that?

Fitz saved the day for the democrats and shut things down before it got out of control and sullied Obama. I’ll be surprised if Blago or anyone else has any serious legal problems thanks to the premature fitzjaculation.
