there was a senate resolution back in May that granted mccain citizenship...if you can believe it.
the sense of the senate resolution included a line inserted by obama to the effect that whereas presidents in the past were not born in the united states.
The GOP senators prevented Obama from inserting that text. It was clearly set up to try to achieve the result of having a legislative text (although it would have been unconstitutional, I’m sure, if it was ever tested) giving Barry cover. He was the one who proposed the text.
