I heard that absentee Military votes postmarked from in the field by Nov 4th would be counted up until November 15th.

Do you know anything about that?

I think someone made a stink about the democrats delaying sending out the ballots to the overseas Military until it was too late to get them back in time last election cycle.

I think that only 30% of them were counted last time.

It varies by state. My state (Texas) required that the ballot be received by 7:00 p.m. local time November 4.

But they took their sweet time getting it to me. I requested it through the military system in late August and didn't get it until October 20. I submitted a provisional ballot on October 13 because I wasn't sure if I'd ever get my local ballot. The rule is, your precinct is to keep the provisional ballot and then if your regular one shows up, they are to replace it with that.

Several people here from many states were having the same problem. What's weird is that the federal employees didn't seem to be having that problem - perhaps most of them are registered Democrats.

I have no idea if my vote was counted, though.

A friend of mine is a civilian contractor in Afghanistan and he wasn’t able to vote because they didn’t get their ballots soon enough. I’m sure they did the same to the military.

Yes, they love and support the troops SO much, yet DENY them their right to vote!

Shameful and despicable.
