Farewell To A Great American
STEVELACKNER.COM ^ | November 4, 2008 | Steven W. Lackner

Congratulations to Barack Obama. America has transcended race and this is a historic election in that regard. It is now time for all of America to move beyond the politics of race relations and unite in common as one people. This election should finally put the race-baiters such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton out of business.

Conservatism has been put in exile. The decision America made tonight was a poor one. The answer for Republicans cannot be to despair and surrrender America to this onslaught of liberalism, but rather to return to Republican principles and remain steadfastly dedicated to the ideals that have made America the greatest nation on earth. Republicans must remain vigilant. The times ahead will be tough and will require it. Remember, Bill Clinton won in 1992 and only two years later Newt Gingrich and the Republican Revolution swept into Congress. It is time for an underground conservative revolution to begin. There will be no balance to Barack Obama in the Congress. The only balance to Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress will be websites like this one providing you with the truth that will be desperately needed.

This loss for John McCain brings to mind a quote from John Wayne. John Wayne actively supported Ronald Reagan's failed presidential bid in 1976. Nonetheless, the Duke paid a visit to the White House as a guest of President Jimmy Carter for his inauguration. "I'm pleased to be present and accounted for in this capital of freedom to witness history as it happens - to watch a common man accept the uncommon responsibility he won 'fair and square' by stating his case to the American people - not by bloodshed, beheadings, and riots at the palace gates. I know I'm a member of the loyal opposition - accent on the loyal. I'd have it no other way." As a great American and Senator from Arizona once said, "Country First."

or better yet, take a huge cut in pay (I know, vacations and eating out will have to go) and deny them the tax base necessary to set up the trough. It’ll be painful, but we can do anything for 2 years. In fact, we can just go on welfare and use their own stolen resources against them. (sarcasm) I like the escape to a remote uninhabited island and hold a constitutional convention idea...

Because he is still the president of my country. Isnt that what those on our side kept telling the Bush haters? Support is different than agree. Press him when need be but he is still the symbol of this greatest nation God ever did give earth.

This is the first election I truly followed, absorbed and sunk my teeth into. It has been eye opening in so many ways, good and bad.
I felt like I was hit by a mac truck tonight and I cried, heck I'm still crying...
I thank you all for being out there and God Bless America.

America has transcended race

Thank God a token Toby in da HOUSE proves we've all transcended race!

95% of Blacks voting for the Black man is just as colorblind as a nation can get, ain't it?

As long as there are races there will be some racism. Humanity is born with a selfish nature, and people will often want to feel a little bit better than somebody else for whatever silly reason.

Negroes often get the brunt of things because they as a race score lower on standardized intelligence tests than the majority of people from other races. Don't howl at me for mentioning it, just show me your statistics instead.

Anyhow I believe a Black liberal in the White House does not mean we're post racial, merely that there is a lot of White Liberal Guilt out there and Blacks willing to stoop to use it. I'll set my stopwatch and watch how long this reply takes to get pulled for a political correctness violation.

“Clinton sullied the Oval Office, Obama will totally trash it.”

The White House as Section 8 housing.

Another MAD-TV skit you won’t see.

“And putting my country first means I will fight against everything Obama stands for.”

Hussein’s world view is completely the antithesis of what I believe as an American and what our country was founded on. There is NOTHING I will do to support him or his ilk. They are diametrically opposed to everything I am and believe in and are going to systematically bring this country down.

My only prayer is that Hussein will not be able to destroy this country as much as he’d like in the next few years.

"This election should finally put the race-baiters such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton out of business"

This is a totally ignorant statement.

For race hustlers there is no such thing as "enough".

Please stand by for reparations legislation.

Please stand by for Supreme Court Justice John Conyers.

Let’s hope that the new President doesn’t go full-tilt socialist like we all fear he will.

President-elect Obama can indeed be considered part of the Bush/GOP legacy.
