I am truly baffled by these statistics.

Methinks many FReepers believed the BS about "all is well" and didn't spend enough time following the stories about "Obama campaign signing up zillions of new voters and organizing getting them to the polls."

This wasn't just Philly. I saw teams of these Obama campaigners in the suburbs and even in rural areas...while FR slept.

There are still (right now, 10:54pm) about 2 Million votes to come in for PA.. and most of them will be coming from the conservative areas.

PA’s 2004 totals:
Kerry 2938096
Bush 2793847

Right now, Fauxbama is up 36,000 votes from Kerry in Philly and 4,000 more than Bush in Allegheny.

Right now, Fauxbama is up 36,000 votes from Kerry in Philly and 4,000 more than Bush in Allegheny.

So McCain has to make up even more votes than Bush would have had to

You think that is possible -- I guess the big turnouts in the Philly Burbs were for Obama --I was hoping they were for McCain

Stupidity of the masses is just too much to over come with the MSM leading them by the nose

I live in the Philly suburbs. Most of my friends were too consumed with feeling sorry for people without health insurance.

Thanks for lumping all of PA together.

No, we don’t derserve what WE get. WE voted for McCain.

Don’t bother writing a witty retort, I won’t be back to read it. What a load.

Well, its not looking good, but there are still 1.3 Million votes out there, at least. IF we truly lost OH, its hard to believe we’ll take PA.. but there are still a lot of votes out there in PA mostly from the conservative areas.. so it boils down to margins there.

It was the new voters in PA who won this for Obama, along with the rich suburban liberals.

Looks like Rendel’s concern was a trick all along.

Obama won because of people who never bothered to vote before and probably won’t vote again until he runs again in 2012.

So far the vote totals are under 04 levels, but the margins are much broader. There are still 5% of districts out there.

In Pitt (allegheny), the turnout is lower so far, but the margin is nearly exactly the same as 04. He’s up 47,000 in Philly county turnout was only 11,000 higher in Philly total than 04 to current results.

Clearly Fauxbama outperformed in Philly, but in Allegheny he’s the same as 04.

There are still 5% of precincts left to report in PA, but it does look like folks sat out the election. The total votes appear like they are going to wind up slightly down from 04.

Obama winning big in Pennsylvania? Obama’s a Democrat. Democrats usually promise free things for stupid people. Therefore Obama’s winning big in Pennsylvania.
