Marx might not have liked the rich, but he HATED the middle class. His system (and Socialism, the bastard son of his system) is a plan for getting rid of the middle class.

And look at places where socialists reign: New York, Michigan, California, France, Germany - the middle class is disappearing.

Someone forgot to tell that commie puke that the purpose of taxation is to raise revenue for the proper functions of government; not, repeat not, to modify behavior.

That’s one of the critical differences between Thomas Jefferson-style classical liberals (and the present-day conservatives), and the modern leftist.

It is not the role or responsibility of the government to encourage or discourage behavior. Their responsibility is to make certain activity either legal or illegal. If it is legal, they have no business punishing people who partake of that behavior. Now, of course, we have evolved from that purist belief and most accept that there is some encouraging/discouraging that is acceptable.

But this is why, at its core, socialism is about behavior control (its ultimate goal is political, not economic). The argument of socialists becomes: “If someone else is paying the cost of ____, then they have a right to restrict your liberty to cut back on that cost.”

Not only will the middle class be saddled with punitive taxes, but we will be saddled with punitive carbon taxes on utilities that will dramtically drive up the cost of electricity, gas, water, and fuel.

Anybody stupid enough to vote for Obama deserves no better than to lose everything they have.

0bama is OBSESSED with controlling how other people behave.

The guys is a SUPER Control freak, and don't forget about his wife's insistence the “he'd NEVER allow you to go back to your old ways”.

The more he will attempt to CONTROL the US economic system, the freedom of choice, etc - the more this country will go absolutely haywire.

This is why Obama is happy with high oil prices and against offshore drilling, so people will change their behaviour.

Fact: Obama will increase your Electricity Bill, by increasing emission fines on Coal companies until they go "bankrupt".

McCain will save you money, both on your Electricity Bill and your Petrol.

Like all liberals, Obama is by instinct an authoritarian social engineer.
