I think he deliberately held off the endorsement so it would have a big impact in the closing weeks of the campaign. Hopefully most people will see this for what it is. One affirmative action hire endorsing another affirmative action hire because of skin color solidarity.

They also have a lot in common in terms of character. Powell helped start the Iraq War and then went AWOL when the going got tough. He threw people to the wolves in the Plame affair even though he knew the truth. Likewise, Obambi and his cronies helped trigger the mortgage meltdown, then pointed fingers at others when it occurred.
