Philly has, probably the worst union thugs in the country. They run the City government for all intents and purposes. SEIU takes several days off each election year (paid, of course) and hold rallies on City property for whatever political hack they happen to support. Every election, about two or three dozen people are injured—some have been murdered—at polling places if they dare wear anything that isn’t a democrat button, shirt, etc... Lynn Abraham is a radical, pro-union DA who has absolutely refused to prosecute any union thugs for any of these incidents, despite video, testimonial from police, whatever...

Whatever the polls say, PA will go for Obama because union thugs will carry a stack of IDs around and go from one polling place to another and vote under as many bogus names (dead people, elderly people, people who’ve had IDs stolen). I’ve seen this several times with my own eyes—a barely articulate union thug with a slightly more articulate thug went in before me, the one guy whispered a name in the other’s ear, showed ID, then voted. They left and when they got to the corner, he took the ID card and threw it in the sewer, took out another and pulled out a list and figured out the next polling place they had to go to. In 2004 more “dems” voted in some districts than there were registered voters. I’ve complained to the local elections monitoring group, the “Committee of Seventy” and was hung up on, laughed at, and threatened. Oh, and most of the union thugs don’t even live in Philadelphia—they live in Jersey for the most part.

I’m not entirely anti-union. My dad was president of a local back in Ohio, but that was another time, another place. He was sickened by what unions became—nothing more than a branch of the Democrat party.

All that said, I don’t know if these guys will be able to stomach voting for Obama. We’ll see.

"Philly has, probably the worst union thugs in the country. They run the City government for all intents and purposes."

Governor Ed Rendell told John Fund, months after the incident, that the Teamsters run the Philly court system. Mr. Fund included that in a WSJ article posted on FR years ago.

They have turned Burlington and Gloucester counties into corrupt, Democratic hellholes. The pubbies I believe still control Burlington at the local level (and are squishy RINO types), but said county has not gone GOP in a national or gubernatorial election since the Union goons started to cross the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge from the land of the toothless (aka NE Philly).

They will either vote for McCain, or say they voted for Obama, but in fact stayed home.

Union men don't have anything in common with Obama the elitist. He's never got his hands dirty doing anything. Quite a few of them are ex or retired military. They know he's a jive-talking lawyer. They have his number. Obama has all but said the blue-collar (guns and religion) vote isn't good enough for him, anyway. The union guys reason, guess Obama can do without my vote.

Imagine if McCain had said a thing like that...the MSM would still be howling about what a snotrag he was up to Election Day.
