I read the bailout is being extended to “community banks” that have made a disproportionate amount of sub-prime loans. Their toxic assets and those of other banks will be removed, and they will be able to continue making high-risk loans that add to the future toxic waste dump that will in turn have to be bailed out in the future. In other words, this legislation contains no policy change that would curtail the reverse-discrimination approval quota system that banks are currently forced to accept.
Of course it is not named, but the structure is there to give Acorn and other such organizations massive funding to finance the socialist takeover of America's streets.
Who actually proposed putting ACORN into the bill to receive funding? Does anyone know how to track who wrote what into a bill?
McCain is an idiot. Had he simple denounced the ACORN pork on Friday night, he could have claimed victory for this. It is very disappointing to see the campaign keep their guns holstered for an entire week, as the Democrat-Obama-Subprime fiasco has been exposed everywhere on the web.

The one flaw in your statement, subprime loans are already all but nonexistent. Lending standards have returned to a pretty sensible level for new loans.
