It has been a hard climb but McCain finally hit 270 in this important poll:

I’ve been watching it for weeks, it has been trending in the right direction and McCain finally hit 270. He should keep rolling up states from here on out, IF we all keep helping.
Also his coattails will help curtail Congress losses.

I'm aware of that... I think the RCP poll is counting "barely GOP" and "barely Dem" as toss-ups... we shouldn't presume that they're in McCain's column yet... but that crucial 270 with the leaners is important.

The poll-bundler and analyst who runs that site is a DEMOCRAT.
S/he thinks a Nobama win would be “an upset for the ages.”
