Give the jobs to Americans.

Many years ago, in Spain, my mother hired a Moroccan man to work in the yard. That was when Spain was a Catholic country, and North Africans came to work during the summer and then returned home. Nobody gave a thought to religion. One day my mother offered the man a glass of cold water, as it was extremely hot and he was digging out something or another. He thanked her and explained it was Ramadan and he could not drink until sunset. He never asked for special accomodations, worked just as hard as ever. As for my mother, she was sure the man would die in her back yard! At the end of the day, he asked if he could come back the next day. They had a good discussion, he would not budge and my mother felt it would not be fair not to hire him because of his religious activities. So, they compromised: if he felt sick, nauseous... he was to lie in the shade. He never did. There’s more than religious practices involved when Muslims start demanding accomodations. I believe that most of them are trying to usher the era when (supposedly) Islam rules over the world. I have news for them. I’ve read the end of the book and we win!

I could be wrong, but I’d guess the reason there are so many of these folks working at the plant is that Swift couldn’t find enough Americans to work these nasty, dangerous jobs at the wages they want to pay. Firing all of them means parts of the plant will shut down or run at reduced capacity, which is not a good option either.

Yes, Somalians doing the jobs Americans won’t do — or at least won’t do for the wages being offered. It really does work that way sometimes.

Unintended consequences. They ran short on Hispanics after the raids, Kind of like Tyson Foods who now have an additional Islamic Holiday in their contract. Initally, they were going to replace Labor Day with the Holiday, but there were still a few Americans left on staff and the word got out.

Or maybe we could start offering Work Visas to nations that are our friends.

“Hey,

Would you work at a meat-packing plant for ridiculously low wages? I wouldn’t. I’d go flip burgers first.

There are no ridiculously low wages in America. The Dems have saved us by raising the minimum wage. :)

If I had no job, you bet I’d work at a packing plant.

Steamburg,

I heard instead of an additional holiday they swapped Labor Day for it.

This was in Tennessee. Holidays today--Sharia tomorrow. :-(

If you lied about your religion not affecting your job performance at the hiring interview, but later complain that it does, YOU’RE FIRED!

What a tempting target! We should kick their asses back to Fubarabidia.

In case anyone had not noticed, Fubarabidia is a composite of Fubar, arab, and rabid.

Send them packing!

Perhaps if Swift & Co. along with Tyson Foods and any other big companies who don't and won't hire Americans to do these jobs should be invited or even strongly encouraged to move their operations to Somalia or whatever other God-forsaken piss hole of their choice where they can hire whatever worker they want at whatever price they can get away with and then America can impose enough tariffs on the finished product should said company wish to peddle their product in America to encourage the companies that remain to hire Americans to work at their plants.

Just an idea. I for one am sick and tired of these imported common laborers coming here and demanding that we Americans accommodate their every demand or whim and the offending company just keep passing these inflated costs on to the American consumer all the while pocketing all the dividends from such sorry practices (as paying their help below slave wage standards in many cases) in their own pockets and their shareholders pockets.

They did until there was public outcry. Now there is simply one more holiday.

More than 150 Muslim workers didn't report to their meatpacking plant jobs Monday in the wake of what they called JBS Swift & Co.'s sudden reversal of religious accommodations for Ramadan.

Fire the pig dogboyz.
