Agree. Facts are, very few states are in play from the last election. IF McCain can hold Ohio, Florida, New Mexico and Colorado then he wins. The only way it is a "landslide" is if he somehow pull Pennsylvania and Michigan then McCain wins 324-214. Very unlikely though...this will be very, very close.

Well put, but let us remember that if there is one thing the RNC is good at is negative campaigning. Obama has had a free ride for a couple of months since Hillary dropped out.

Maybe many disagree, but Bill Ayers will be the new Willie Horton.

Reverend Wright might fade along with Farrakhan, but Ayers is the White son of a CEO(COM ED) who will not apologize for his Terrorism and hopes to kill cops.

Unfortunately you’re spot on. Between the media bias and Bambi’s specializing in his party’s brand of voter fraud, we probably need a landslide level of genuine voter opinion in order to squeak out the win. All hands on deck!

I agree with you that we should not get overconfident. The fact is that the establishment and the MSM have cast their lot with Obama and they will stop at nothing to ensure that their boy gets in. This will probably be the ugliest and nastiest campaign in our nation's history. The powers-that-be are not going to just roll over for a maverick senator and some upstart governor from Alaska. If you don't believe me, look at what they just did to the Clintons! Who could have imagined Hillary not making the ticket a year ago?

But they are facing a huge problem with the Sarah Palin pick. They did not see this coming at all. They assumed that McCain would have gone with a "safe" choice like Romney, Ridge or Pawlenty and so they were banking on running against "two white rich guys" that they could tie to Bush/Cheney.

This is why they are pulling out all the stops to derail Palin. This is a scenario they weren't expecting and were not prepared to deal with.
