First off, read a newspaper. McCain is the Republican nominee. Did you know that? How does your criticism of McCain help anything but your ego?

Second. Look it up: McCain has an 83 percent lifetime ACU rating. So I say again. McCAIN IS AN 80 PERCENT CONSERVATIVE. He’s not perfect. No one is. And just because some anonymous screen name (such as yourself) disagrees with some of McCain’s votes or positions, doesn’t make him any less conservative.

Given all the attention with Gustav, GOP operatives should point out that it is the GOVERNORS of these States that are accountable for decisions and public safety. Palin has this experience, Obama NONE.

Excellent point. If the Reps are smart, they will point this out. Alaska has had some devastating earthquakes. I am sure that Gov. Palin is quite familiar with the Gov's role and the Fed's role in responding to natural disasters. Gustav would give her the pretext for discussing what a governor's responsibilites are compared to a Senator's.

Exactly...Kerry is laughable- period. The lack of experience issue has Kerry ranting, on Georgies' show this AM, in that bloviating and arrogant style that only he can manage. The Rats are going to choke on BO's lack of experience, lack of substance, and lack of accomplishments. It really stings the Dim leadership when they are confronted with these givens.

Typically, Stephie gave Kerry the last word to rebut Lindsey Graham's spirited and cogent attack on NObama. And the best that Kerry can do is to point out that BO can draw a large crowd of Europeans! NObama-- no experience, no substance, no accomplishments... It's going to be very enjoyable watching the Rat stuffed suits try to defend their NObody candidate for POTUS.

Thanks all for the positive, thoughtful responses to my post earlier re: smalltown mayors. I urge you to “steal” its salient points as you encounter libs and undecideds. Certainly I “stole” all the ideas in it from somewhere along the way during my life as a conservative, drinking in the best ideas of our age.

I’ll tell you, I worked in Washington for decades in the MSM and the people on FR and LGF simply dwarf my former “colleagues” in intelligence and insight—and, needless to say, moral thinking. It’s one of the reasons I read all VANITYs I see. I care a whole lot more about what FR is thinking than what the dullards in the MSM have to say. Because I can tell you what they are gonna say before they say it. (And I’m sure you can too!)

Yesterday on the Beltway Boys, Mort was arguing with Fred and getting really heated about how "totally unqualified and inexperienced Sarah was to be only a heartbeat away from the oval office."

He continued, "John McCain is 72 years old and has had two bouts of life-threating melanoma, how on earth could she step up at a minutes notice?"

Fred calmly pointed out that "Sarah had more experience than Obama, who is at the head of the democrat ticket."

Without pausing and without hesitation, Mort loudly retorted, "OH, YES, HE DOES! He has FAR MORE experience than she does! He has been out campaigning and running for President for years now!!!"

Can you believe that? Obama is now experienced, because he has been RUNNING for President!...Running for years, according to Mort.

That has to be one of the truly most stupid statements I have ever heard...and that's saying a lot!
