Yes, but she wouldn’t take the pay cut.

served just 19 months as governor

That's 19 more months of executive experience then the Dems entire ticket combined! (Barry+Joe)

Plus Gov Palin is pro-life, pro-drill, NRA member, pro-low taxes, has a son in Iraq, a blue collar husband who works on the oil fields.

Biden will go down in flames in a debate with Gov Palin!

Uhhhh, but then does that mean we get stuck with Perry for 4 more years? Can we convince Perry to retire and or go to DC?

She’s a former beauty queen who earned a bachelors in journalism from University of Idaho, served a few years as city councilwoman and mayor of a town with a population of only 8,500 people, and served just 19 months as governor.

It doesn't seem reasonable to hold the fact that she's attractive as a negative. And 19 months as a governor is FAR more preparation than the Senate...at least it's a position where one actually runs something other than one's mouth. And to tell you the truth, I'm tired of almost all lawyers as politicians. Let's have some leadership from people who have more than a litigious perspective

And you think she’s ready to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Infinitely more qualified than Obama or Biden.

I general I'd agree with you, but in specific, I haven't seen evidence it's had a bad effect on her...although, to be honest, I haven't followed her career all that closely. Given the choice of 2 equal candidates would you prefer another lawyer, or a journalism major?

1. If he needs Hillary voters WHO ARE NOT ALREADY WITH MCCAIN, he should pick Hillary.

2. Doesn’t anont think those ex-wife hillary clones will RESENT hillary being replaced with another woman.

If mccain was going to pick a substitute hillary HE SHOULD HAVE JUST PICKED HILLARY. They will think how DARE he substitue another woman for hillary.

Leave Hillary, and the Hillary substitute in the democrate party.

I have never seen Palin debate, but Biden is pretty good at debating.

Face the facts...

The media will be all over her resume...or lack of one. She’s a Republican. They don’t get a pass the way they give out passes to Democrats like Obama.

KBH is a tough Texas woman. She has more spine than most of the men in congress.

I live here too and I always saw her as just another woman whose husband was wealthy and got her to run for office. I am happy with her as a Senator and would rather have her than Pelosi of course but I don't want her as Governor or as VP.

She has a tough job because she gets beaten down by the Dem hags in the Senate, so by that standpoint I respect her for not following the "sisterhood" but I don't think KBH does anything for McCain but cause people to lose interest.

That's true for every Republican. So it shouldn't be the determining factor.

This election is all about winning...to stop Obama. If Palin helps guarantee a win, Mac should choose her. At least we would have one conservative in the WH.

I’m not 100% behind this woman as a VP selection, but after hearing some of her credentials today, she certainly has a lot going for her.

I know you were one of her early supporters, so congratulations for having the insight on this selection that some of us may have lacked.
