Not to mind, he still sees the war as lost and sees the need for Obama to cut and run. As Rush so often points out, the MSM (especially the newspaper of record) heralds Democrat policy through their editorials.
Apparently, the new message is the war was lost even though casualties are down, etc. They can't very well say they were wrong.
Looked at in another way, will Pinch remain as the unequivocal leader of the NYT considering his many judgment failures --both in business and editorial policy?
The Iraq War has had markedly lower casualties than any other major US engagement - including the War of Independence, 1812, Mexico, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf.
I wanted to click on the “report abuse” symbol, as this drivel abuses the intelligence of anyone with an IQ above a grape! An “unsigned editorial?” Hell, this could have been written by any employee of the paper.
Who cares what the New York Slimes has to say? Im glad the National Enquirer replaced this rag as the nations Newspaper of Record
Well Shizaam the new york slimes has the election over and done with. We should all just bow to the feet of the ONE! Geez let the election happen first you bunch of leftist elitist communist, Well you get the picture..
“Mr. Bushs surge has reduced casualties from catastrophic to simply intolerable...”
This hyperbolic hysteria is just another nail in the NYT coffin.
One of the positive by-products of the Bush administration, and one that is not often spoken of, is the destructive affect it has had on liberals rags such as the NY Times.
So infected is the Times with raging BDS, it is like a rabid dog that is waiting only to be shot and put out of its misery. Kudos to our President and his policies, and a hearty thank you for hastening the departure of this dead-tree drivel.
Sadly, the WaPo may escape the same fate. Having seemingly recognized the self-destructive nature of BDS, they are now holding a few common sense positions that might actually bring them back from the brink.
