Excellent point. Biblical stewardship doesn’t equal the secular ‘saving the world’ movement. One is being respectful and not wasteful in order to live the way God would want us to. The other is man thinking that they alone must take drastic steps and only we can save the planet (giving ourselves a LITTLE TOO MUCH credit).
Here’s a good rule of thumb example to tell the difference:
1. Try not to use a lot of toilet paper, just what you need. Just not to waste an excessive amount. That is being a steward, not trying to overdo it. Plus then you don’t go through your own supply so quickly.
2. The world idea: Sheryl Crow’s “One Square of toilet paper per poop.” Otherwise you are evil and killing the planet and the planet will die.
