NO TEST FOR 'LOVE LIPS' JOHN
N.Y. Post ^ | August 10, 2008 | GINGER ADAMS OTIS & ANGELA MONTEFINISE in New York, and REBECCA ROSENBERG in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Posted on 08/10/2008 6:05:27 AM PDT by vietvet67

She called him "Love Lips" - and visited her "somewhat dysfunctional married man" in North Carolina.

A new report reveals that former party girl and John Edwards mistress Rielle Hunter wrote e-mails chronicling her affair with presidential wannabe John Edwards.

Early in April 2006, Hunter e-mailed a pal about a trip down South to visit Edwards and discussed the downside of "being in love with a (still somewhat dysfunctional) married man," according to The Huffington Post.

The revelation came as Hunter, 42, broke her silence for the first time yesterday to let Edwards off the hook.

She will not pester her ex-lover to take a DNA test to establish once and for all the paternity of her 5-month-old daughter, her lawyer said.

Hunter, 42, does not wish to take a genetic test "now or in the future," attorney Robert Gordon said in a statement.

During an interview Friday in which he copped to the fling, Edwards said the "timing of events" indicate that the child, born on Feb. 27, 2008, could not be his.

"Happy to take a paternity test and would love to see it happen," he said.

But Hunter's stance is that she would prefer to "maintain her privacy and her daughter's privacy," Gordon said.

The mother did not list the father's name on little Frances Quinn Hunter's birth certificate.

Barry Levine, editor of The National Enquirer, which broke the news of the affair, told The Post yesterday: "Up to this hour, I can tell you from our sources, she's believing that eventually she and John Edwards will be together and this will all work out."

Dismissing the paternity issue lets some of the immediate pressure off Edwards - but likely not for long.

This is confirmation that Edwards is the father - no two ways about it.

If Edwards chose to - which, since this is his set-up, he won’t - he could go into court and compel a DNA test. Given the undisputed facts that he and Hunter were having sex at some point, and all the surrounding circumstances, there is adequate basis to compel a DNA test to rule in or out Edwards as the father, even though Hunter objects. but, again, this is not Edwards’ plan.

Second: If, as these bozos would have the world believe, Andrew Young were the father, why is he not on the birth certificate as the father? His “admission” is and was out in theopen, and Hunter has/had been living with Young and Young’s wife and children. Whats left to hide, if Young IS the father? (Well, Young’s not the father)

Edwards is only digging his hole deeper and deeper.

Just wait until the criminal investigation into the campaign funds that Edwards illegally diverted to Hunter gets going.

That’s one purp walk I really want to see.

This pregnancy was planned. No long-time, nulliparous, sexually promiscuous and sophisticated woman gets pregnant for a full term when she doesn’t want to.

>>>WHY would a John Edward’s backer be paying the tab?

To try and hide the source of the money as having come from Edwards campaign funds.

The Enquirer aint thru with him. They say they have proof that edwards is the dad, and that they can prove that everything edwards has said about it, is lies.

She offered her honor (as it was)
He honored her offer.
So all night long,
It was on her and off her.

I am understand the impression in California you can’t list the father’s name on the birth certificate unless he is present or gives permission, am I wrong, anyone know?

Presumptuous of these two Narcissists, who seem to think the Universe revolves around them, to assume that anyone is fated by God to die and open the way for “their” supreme happiness. Cute.

The fact that this cardboard cutout of a guy was on the fast track to the Presidency of this country is all that makes this tawdry series of one-night stands even worthy of a mention. The judgement of a man diddling around with a sexually promiscuous woman in this day and age of AIDS and other STD’s has to be less than ZERO. CHILLING! - Thank God that we bit the bullet on that one! Otherwise, Edwards and the Skank richly deserve each other, and I’VE HEARD ENOUGH. I wish Elizabeth Edwards and her children all the best, literally; and the poor baby as well.

The fact that Edwards and Hunter are still apparently scheming to “manage and contain” this scandal is INSULTING to human intelligence. - Get a clue, John. WE DON’T CARE!!

It appears Mr. Young has a rap sheet, bounced checks and some other misbehavings. At one point burglary charges were dropped.

Just guessing but I think the meeting was arranged because she was demanding more $$$$$.

Sounds more than reasonable. The interesting part now will be how she's going to get the agreed-upon money. With everyone watching--including the IRS, one would hope--and the Texas lawyer conduit shut down, she's going to be missing her $15K/month real soon. She doesn't strike me as the savings passbook type, so she's got to be thinking about the fast-approaching expiration date on her lifestyle.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Young need to be paid, too. How's that going to work? I doubt the couple planned on signing on to 18 years of child support without most generous compensation. So the couple and Rielle are probably right now eyeing each other like final tribe members in Survivor.

Ouch! That is so good. I like it.

What would Carrie from Sex in the City say?

She would probably all for this situation. Empowering for women, etc...

I have a theory.... his contention that they didn't screw such that the baby is his, is FLAWED. Consider:

2006: She seduces him (flattery, crazy sex, whatever)... the affair goes on for a while, then he gets nervous, knowing that it's trouble for his ambitions.

She sees the nervousness, and manages to capture and secret away a quantity of his sperm as a hedge against a future breakup.

He breaks up with her.

2007: She, convinced that he'll be the next President, impregnates herself with the saved sperm. Obviously, runs the pregnancy to term... but then he's no longer in the running for President! What to do?

2008: Simple. She can't play the baby card while Eliz is alive. So, she refuses a DNS test until after Eliz dies. Then she can claim Johnny-boy for her own.

None if the above is to excuse Johnny-boy. He didn't have to plunge his poker into her pu**y.

Nevertheless -- never trust a woman. They're much smarter and devious than we are. ;-)

How about this gem from the article:

” According to The National Enquirer, Hunter spent her pregnancy living near Andrew Young, Edwards’ former finance chairman and political director....

Young - a married father of three with a string of bounced-check busts and traffic violations in his past - set Hunter up in a rented house not far from his gated community....”

Yet even more evidence of Edwards’ crippled judgement. How could any reality-based candidate hire a campaign finance manager who can’t even manage his own finances? But as is common knowledge, reality counts for little with Democrats. Based on this vignette, a President Edwards would have likely staffed his entire administration in a likewise manner (I am continually amazed how many bullets this republic continually dodges to survive!)
