Although I've never attended either Harvard or Princeton I know that the typical graduate of these institutions of higher learning ordinarily would say “my German isn't particularly good” rather than “real good”.One wonders if Osama gained admission to either of these schools thanks to affirmative action.

Grammer aside, can I take this to mean that he speaks German, just not well? "Not real good" means something very different from "I don't speak German".
