Maybe, and maybe not. One interpretation of quantum mechanics seems to indicate a near infinite number of universes, and growing very rapidly. I think they had to make up a term for the collection of all the universes, multiverse, sometimes megaverse. See this Wikipedia article, which is well footnoted with links to "real" articles.

However not so long ago, galaxies were referred to as "Island Universes", perhaps the original poster meant it in that context.
