I’d say that Iranian confidence in having such a strategic location is a detriment. You’re most vulnerable when you think you see.
But we’re talking about seeing via technology.
And technology can tell you everything is AOK.....and that’s when counter-measures kill you.

That’s if they are lucky. The Syrians regret to this day placing artillery on the Golan Heights, in what is now Israel.
Perhaps now is the time for newer occupied territories to hammer the point home to Israel’s neighbors (again).
