If world had a vote, it would be for Obama, poll shows

WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama is far more popular around the world than Republican presidential candidate John McCain, according to a 24-nation poll released Thursday by the Pew Global Attitudes Survey.

The Pew study finds that Obama is wildly popular among traditional U.S. allies in Western Europe and Australia, where people have become alienated by American foreign policy during the Bush years.

Among the nations polled, Obama was most popular in France and Tanzania, where 84 percent of citizens said they had confidence in his leadership. Other hotbeds of Obama enthusiasm are Germany (82 percent), Australia (80 percent), Japan (77 percent), Britain (74 percent) and Spain (72 percent).

"Barack Obama has strong international appeal just about everywhere," said Andrew Kohut, president of the Pew Research Center. "He's made quite a splash across the seas."

Obama's global popularity could be a double-edged sword domestically, Kohut said, with some Americans thinking that they don't want foreigners telling them who to choose.

While Obama enjoys widespread global popularity, McCain merits the confidence of a majority of residents in just one of the 24 nations surveyed — the United States. He runs nearly 50 percentage points behind Obama in Germany and France. And he has the confidence of 25 percent or less of the population in eight of the countries surveyed: Spain, Russia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Indonesia, Pakistan and Mexico.

Despite the persistent and false Internet rumors that Obama is a Muslim, the Illinois senator receives his worst ratings in Islamic nations and Mexico: 10 percent in Pakistan, 20 percent in Turkey, 22 percent in Jordan, 29 percent in Mexico.

Repeated polls for years and years show that the rest of the world wants a weaker United States.

Knowing this, would foreigners want someone who would make the US stronger or weaker to be president?

Another good reason to vote for McCain.

So, if our enemies had a vote they would vote for Obama? Well, that should tell people something...

One more time!
Everything is lovely
When you start to roam;
The birds are singin’, the day that you stray,
But later, when you are further away,
Things won’t seem so lovely
When you’re all alone;
Here’s what you’ll keep saying
When you’re far from home:

Obammy,
Obammy,
The sun shines east, the sun shines west,
I know where the sun shines best—
Obammy,
My little Obammy,
My heartstrings are tangled around Alabammy.
I’m comin’,
Sorry that I made you wait.
I’m comin’,
Hope and trust that I’m not late, oh oh oh
Obammy,
My little Obammy,
I’d walk a million miles
For one of your smiles,
Obammy! Oh oh oh...

(SPOKEN) Obammy...
My little Obammy.
The sun shines east— the sun shines west—
I know where— the sun shines best!
It’s on my Obammy I’m talkin’ about, nobody else’s!
(SUNG) My little Obammy,
My heartstrings are tangled around Obammy.
(SPOKEN) Obammy— Obammy, I’m comin’—
I’m so sorry that I made you wait!
Obammy— Obammy, I’m comin’!
Oh God, I hope I’m not late!
Look at me, Obammy! Don’t you know me?
I’m your little baby!
(SUNG) I’d walk a million miles
For one of your smiles,
Obammy!

Given that the world would like to see the USA fail, I'd say that the world sees Obama as the best bet for such.

Not exactly a compliment.

Islamic terrorists have the right of habeas corpus. Perhaps we should let them vote in our election as well.

Yet, they ALL want to move here by the untold MILLIONS. And, when others try to take over their crappy countries, WHO do they call?

Screw 'em!

Uhhh, how's that again?

His own brother says he has a Muslim background.

"Obama was most popular in France and Tanzania, where 84 percent of citizens said they had confidence in his leadership." In other words, if the U.S. was invaded, Obama would surrender and collaborate with the enemy.

And this is the kind of propaganda his campaign is spreading. Sure, if everyone in the world (seemingly) loves the O, gee, he’s gotta be The One.

People are falling for this. I’ve never witnessed such a campaign. Who’s behind it? This isn’t Obama.

There’s a reason the world doesn’t get a vote. Their interests are often diametrically opposed to ours.

They already do in places like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Boston, Washington DC, Minneapolis and Baltimore.

Any state and city whose election judges and officials are in the control of the Democratic party machine will make damned sure every dead person, illegal alien, cartoon stars, pets and Islamofascists gets to vote. Vote early and vote often.
