Ah but there is a bright side. You could be in Philadelphia.
I’m outside of Houston, which is so much like Philly you wouldn’t believe... minus the Cheesesteaks.
And cheesesteaks are good :-)
I remember this incident well. the poor guy got beat right in front of the stage where Clinton and Rendel were and the police dragged “him” away and not the guys who beat him. They were talking about charging him until a local radio talk show host, Dom Giordano, raised holy hell about it on the air.
It was in front of City Hall. I was there, and the poor guy who got beat was my brother. Despite local support, and at the encouragement of Mayor Rendell,(please see the above story), the Teamsters filed private criminal complaints against Don Adams, alleging that he hit three of their women (two of the complaints were approved by DA Lynne Abraham). Don stood trial and was acquitted. To this day, he is the only person to have stood trial of all those involved in that incident.
It must have been nice growing up in West Texas, and yes, Philly does have many ugly sides....and it’s only getting worse. Liberalism has killed our city!
Don and Teri Adams Ping!
T7, thanks ever much for pinging the list! It happened a while ago, but there are events related to this case we haven’t been able to discuss openly until now.
Rendell, the thug of a man that he is, doesn’t deserve to be dog catcher, let alone to hold any office above THAT. How terribly nauseating that he made it to governor.
Bless ‘em. They sure got a raw deal.
Thanks Physicist! : )
GRRRREAT article! Thanks Bradley Vasoli. Thanks for the ping, Physicist. Thanks for posting, Teri.
Internal/Eternal enemies BUMP!
What a rotten man and a rotten thing to do.
Justice denied haunts perpetrators perpetually, as it should!
ping
bump
Thanks for responding, PGalt! : )
The Philadelphia Bulletin is a conservative newspaper, which I’m sure comes as no surprise. It is difficult to imagine our local liberal newspapers printing such a story!
Thanks for the ping!
