Very cool link to the Ft Bragg cemetery info. Thanks!

I remembered after I read thru some of it that one time at Ft Campbell my team was putting up a comm antenna in some pretty tall grass right next to a creek in a small clearing. Being a small team we were all pretty close so everybody worked at it. A black guy named Ricky was pulling one guy wire and me and another guy the other two.

Walking backwards Ricky tripped and fell almost taking the antenna with him. Cussing he jumped up to look at what he tumbled over.

Man, if a black guy could turn white, he did. His eyes bugged out and he ran as fast as he could out of the clearing towards our vehicle.

Turns out he tripped over a headstone from 1848 and he was none too happy about it :) Investigating a little more it turned out this clearing we were in was probably part of a homestead. We found 3 more headstones and the remains of a small cabin. It was pretty cool! Even if Ricky didn’t think so :-)

He has an option to buy the place, contingent on his being able to move the graves. If the ruckus continues, I doubt he’ll exercise the option.

LOLOL!!!

I forgot about that one. You win.

Regards,

PS: I also liked “Nobody Beans The Viz” from the sports pages. (Vizcaino gets beaned; bench clearing brawl ensues.)
