How Obama’s dominos will fall: The coming McCain landslide victory
The Collins Report ^ | March 24, 2008 | John F. Allen

Posted on 03/24/2008 5:04:26 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

Liberal wishful thinking aside, McCain will win in a landslide.

White men, White Democrats and probably disaffected White women will not vote for Obama. It is very unlikely Hispanics, who have worked hard to become top minority in America, will vote to make a Black man the President.

These points hurt and burn a hole in the head of liberals and the media, but look at these nettlesome numbers.

There was a chance Barack McGovern Obama could have won Virginia and Arkansas and improved his expected Electoral vote count to 270 EVs ( Kerry got 251 EVs). On paper this could have been a rather close election. Unfortunately for Obama, we don’t vote in newsrooms or DNC headquarters. We vote in the real world.

The fact that Whites won’t vote for Obama, combined with the other factors, puts several of the old Kerry 2004 states in his “unlikely column.”

Massachusetts, where they are already tied before the bradley factor is added 12 EVs.

Maine the Whitest state, 4

New Hampshire 94% White, lots of White liberals from Boston, 4

Connecticut – Lieberman + 75% White + 330,000 Hispanics, 7

New Jersey – Orthodox Jews promising not to vote Obama + 1.2 million Hispanics + 2 point lead NOW, 15.

Pennsylvania, 82% White, 500,000 Hispanics 21

Wisconsin 86% White, 295,000 Hispanics 10

Minnesota, Franken + 86% White, 9

This will move 65 Electoral Votes from Obama to McCain, for a 354 to 186 blow out.

States Obama should not have to campaign in, but will be forced to: California most Hispanic state 12 million, only 43% White but just 8% Black 55

Washington, 77% White, 15th most Hispanic and 3.5% Black. 11 EVs.

Oregon White 81%, Black 2% Hispanic rank 18Th, 7

This election could be over about half past October.

McCain is now up 3 in New Hampshire. Yes it is early, but things are much more likely to get worse for Obama as voters learn more about him.

White men would be crazy to vote for any of the three candidates. They are all selling death to the republic.

Excellent!

As long as it's in the bag, I won't have to "hold my nose", again, and vote for some lesser of two evils for POTUS. I can take the day off and go to the range.

Whoever wrote this needs to put down the happy juice. They surely have underestimated the socialist numbers in the USA. Also, the article would seem to intimate that whites won’t vote for Obama.

Not that Obama won’t lose, but the author seems to think the electorate is going to carefully weigh each candidates position; or vote against the black man. I am not sure exactly where the author was going with this, but suffice to say, he is way off.

Numbers like these free McCain up to be himself. Ten bucks says he takes Lieberman as a running mate and tells conservatives to get lost.

There are down ballot races. I am counting on the Dems being too disgusted to vote for Obama or Hillary and staying home, but we have to vote no matter what.

Usually a presidential candidate selects someone who would help in a particular section of the country or electorate.
Liberman would be a disaster.
Who would he bring in?
Jews will vote democrat regardless if Obamma Lamma Ding Dong calls for the destruction of Israel.
McLame the angry needs to choose
If he wants some help how about someone who knows anything about the economy, Mitt?

The one factor not being considered in this story is the VP factor. Obama could pick a Bill Richardson and lock in the Hispanic vote. Not sure if there is anything he could do to lock in the white male vote. The Dems already put up the whitest man in America, John Kerry, and he lost.

I think the author goes too far. Mass., for instance, will not vote Republican. Still, the crucial states of Florida, Penn and Ohio will never vote Obama, so he will not win.

McCain is extremely popular up here, always has been. Blew out W in the 2000 primary, won 2008 handily.

He should win the general easily here, and may even help Sununu hold the Senate seat.

No disrespect to any other state, but for our measly 4 electoral votes, McCain is the dream candidate.

“The fact that Whites won’t vote for Obama”

Many did in primaries.

But the article is interesting. Obama is now no longer the messiah that he seemed to be.

Maybe people will look deeper at him now.
His only well thought out campaign position so far is that he “wants change”.

Maybe he will have say what that “change” is in some detail.

“They surely have underestimated the socialist numbers in the USA. Also, the article would seem to intimate that whites won’t vote for Obama.”

Every recent survey shows that at least 20% of White Democrats won’t vote for Obama. You seem to intimate that Whites will vote for Obama. It is impossible for ANY candidate to give up 20% of his base and win, not in our system. I’m open to being corrected in my belief to the contrary. Please cite your sources saying Whites WILL vote for Obama. I want to be given the truth on this matter.

“Not that Obama won’t lose,..”
And just why will he lose?

In the last two elections EVERY socialist and EVERY Black have voted Democrat. They lost twice. The White male vote has not gone Democrat since 1964. Does anyone think Obama will do even as well as Gore or Kerry with this voting block? They WERE White males, Obama won’t come near their numbers.
Hatred for Mccain shouldn’t blind people to the truth. McCain wins big. The longer we on the right play the left’s game of “this is a democrat year” the more we hurt ourselves. At least at the top, those saying this are either lying or fooling themselves. As adults we ought not engage in such childish wastes of time.

Here in Iowa Dem. Vilsack beat Republican Nussle because Vilsack was able to paint Nussle as SOFT ON IMMIGRATION because of his support of immigrant friendly GEORGE W. BUSH POLICIES HE HAD TO VOTE FOR TO SUPPORT HIS REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT

I agree with your assessment.

It is far from being a landslide. The Dems will rally around Obama in the general election to prevent “Bush’s third term” and continuation of the war. At this point, Obama still has to be considered the favorite when/if he is nominated. He will have the money and energized base to go against our very flawed candidate.

Obama was still holding up “the bargain” in the primaries that you’re referring to.

The bargain is that he wouldn’t play the black victimology/grievance mongering card, and whites wouldn’t see him as threatening and demanding reparations for those grievances.
