More Manson Family victim's bodies found
Fox news | 16 Mar 08 | nully

Breaking on Fox, no link yet.

This means there are new murders to tie to Charles Manson.

Maybe, just maybe, he can get the death penalty for one or more of these.

Assuming the liberal gods in black robes don't block it again to save him.

Right after Buck Gibbons died, I had reason to talk with Phil McDowell, his successor, who spoke very highly of him. Sounded like a decent guy.

Prior to my joining FR, I was involved with a group of crime forum posters who had a hoax perpertrated on us by a disturbed woman who had lived in Trona.

She was claiming info on the murder of JonBenet Ramsey and we were trying to find evidence to prove or disprove her story. At any rate, a sidebar to her fabrication was that her mother was good friends with Cappy Gillies, a Manson Family groupie whose grandmother owned the neighboring Myers Ranch, where the Family started out in DV, before Barker Ranch.

Because of all that, I had to do a lot of research on the items being discussed here - so I am really interested in hearing what comes out of it.

Buck Gibbons was a great guy and very well respected in our community, and I might say the same about Phil McDowell with whom I am also acquainted.

I will try to find out if they really found anything and post the results of my quest here on this thread.

You mean laughing on "Death Row".

i.e.,laughing at us, as we feed, house, cloth and care for them.

Was he tried for these particular murders? If not, and since there is no statute of limitations on murder, wouldn’t the penalty options available now, if he were to be tried AND CONVICTED, be in play?

Beowulf, what’s really sad is when you consider the monsters that were spared their richly deserved death penalties by the liberal Court trotting out their penumbrae. Not only Manson, but Richard Speck, the Hillside Strangler (I believe), and a host of other worthless dung piles. Just another reason to fear the ascendancy of a Hillary or an Obama.

Manson is 73 (born Nov. 12, 1934).

The last person executed was Clarence Ray Allen. He masterminded from prison the murder of 3 people. He was a textbook example of how life in prison does not deter crime.

Manson is over 60 years old.

Actually, he's 73 - he was born in 1934.

Manson is in Corcoran State Prison doing Life - NOT on Death Row. He was just turned down for parole again!

Yes, we all know he’s not on death row, where he belongs, and where he once was.

We’re hoping he may be there again.

Statute of limitations and ex post facto are separate concepts. Yes, he can be tried now, but only punished based upon the law in effect at the time of the crimes.

From the AP article:

The Manson family members currently in prison are already serving life sentences — the maximum penalty allowed at the time the crimes were committed.

I was SO sure that they rec'd the death penalty but that it was "called off" when the law against the death penalty was negated.

What if there’s something to all this? And it could be (one of the killers bragged to a cellmate before the trial that there were three people they killed in Death Valley). Could you imagine what a spectacle it would be, to have those people back in court?
