And Daley's latest proposals he is trying to get passed for the entire state of Illinois. He'd try to eliminate the CCW and ban handguns in Indiana too if he could, but even Blago's clout doesn't extend quite that far. Chicago is the fundamental reason Illinois not only doesn't have any provision for a carry permit, but it's actually a Felony for the serfs to be caught with a concealed weapon. Meanwhile, Aldermen can carry, and Daley has a whole squad of personal bodyguards.
