Just get a PS3

Current PS3s probably cannot be made 2.0 compliant. Also, the upconversion quality of the PS3 is not the greatest.

Huh?
PS3 upconvert is considered very good. Maybe not the best like on an Oppo but i noticed a difference right away.
Color and clarity were greatly improved.

PS3 just had a V1.1 update and with the internal memory, hard drive and RJ45 internet connection will Be a 2.0 player shortly.
Besides who cares?
V2.0 will just stream current crappy previews and stuff from the net. (Maybe V2.0 will eventually include some type of On demand movie service, that would be cool)
V1.1 lets you see the commentary spoken through a picture in picture.
Whoop dee doo.
The PS3 is more than just that though.
It’s an awesome virtual Jukebox that Streams my 2000+ songs, pics and movies from my computer wirelessly across my house into my 7.1 surround.
also a card reader for you dig camera and camcorder.
Sony store lets you dounload games, Demo’s and movie previews.
With USB you can install or play content from a flash drive.
It’s now a DIVX and XVID player also.
with a PSP portable you can access your PS3 wirelessly anywhere in the world with wifi to access your content.
nice Bluetooth remote.
it goes on and on.
I look forward to each new update like a kid at Christmas time!
Oh yea, alot of the games are mind blowing too.

I think this news is going to be a major blow to MS’s Xbox 360.
I hope Sony does not allow MS to install or use Blu-Ray in their game machine in the future at all after this last fiasco.
Then again why would they?
