Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable'
BBC ^

Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable' The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams says the adoption of Islamic Sharia law in the UK is "unavoidable".

Dr Williams told BBC Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

Dr Williams argues that adopting some aspects of Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.

For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.

He says Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty".

In an exclusive interview with BBC correspondent Christopher Landau, ahead of a lecture to lawyers in London later on Monday, Dr Williams argues this relies on Sharia law being better understood. At the moment, he says "sensational reporting of opinion polls" clouds the issue.

He stresses that "nobody in their right mind would want to see in this country the kind of inhumanity that's sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states; states; the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women as well".

But Dr Williams says the argument that "there's one law for everybody... I think that's a bit of a danger".

"There's a place for finding what would be a constructive accommodation with some aspects of Muslim law, as we already do with some other aspects of religious law."

Dr Williams adds: "What we don't want either, is I think, a stand-off, where the law squares up to people's religious consciences."

Rowan Williams - isn’t he the queer? And all of the sudden people are listening to his moral pronouncements? What’s up with that??

Yeah, just a “little bit of sharia law”. Yeah, that’s all they want and they’ll be happy. uh huh.

Under full sharia law, dhimmis (non-muslims) must wear certain identifiable clothing (ala the Jews in Germany), cannot worship, pray, or speak about their religion in public, may not build or repair new churches, must pay the jizya tax ON DEMAND or be immediately beaten, must “defer” to any Muslim they meet (giving up their seat, pulling over to let them pass, etc). Punishment for killing a dhimmi is much less than for killing a muslim. No dhimmi may testify in court against a Muslim. Just examples.

Any dhimmi that dares violate (at any muslim’s discretion) these laws can be killed instantly with no penalty.

They have to be MADE to relate to the British legal system, or they cannot stay in Britain. Good God, man, what are you thinking?!!

The psychosis known as liberalism has many forms.

Far too many smug Britons think atheism just ducky and get their backs up whenever Christianity is mentioned.

Sharia law (read: backwards barbarism) somehow gets a pass because these same Britons are soooooo open-minded.

The Archbishop has looked at the demographics and population trend. Number one birth name in England now Mohammed. Births per moslem mothers 3-4? Even though England's ladies have the largest milk producers, their fertility rate is perhaps 1. England’s churches are transitioning into mosques. Prince Andrew hates Bush. Drugs kill.

Is this a satire?

Or did the Archbishop of Canterbury remove all doubt as to his developing dementia?
