Thanks for clearing that up........I do believe Huckabee knows his Bible and about other religions. I keep getting hung up on John Smith and his gold tablets and multiple wives.......I didn’t know this about the Morman faith. While it isn’t a deal breaker for me, it is a negative. Romney remains my third choice over Huckabee though. I will be glad when this primary season is over.

While driving home tonight I came to the uncomfortable realization that the only real viable alternative for republicans to Giuliani is Romney.

Huckabee would never win a general election. Thompson seems to have run out of steam. McCain never had any steam. Hunter never had any water and Tancredo never had any hope.

Still I think it is important that the truth come out about what the Mormons believe. We need to go into this election with our eyes wide open and not with our heads buried in the sand. The Mormonism issue is going to be a large issue. My guess is that Hillary is going to have her minions delcare her the choice of Evangelical Christianity as at least she can portray herself as a nominal methodist.

But Romney has both the steam, the stamina and the money to cinch the Republican nomination. Too bad he's a member of a cult.

I remain a Thompson supporter, but unless he pulls a miracle out by January, it is going to be a two man race and he's not going to be a part of it.
